I was at a Client's place in Atlanta a little more than 2 years ago and during a lunch break, one of the guys that I had been working with asked me a question.
He explained that he was tearing up his car seat with the cell phone holder he had on his hip. Every time he got in his car, the cell phone scraped up against the fabric. A couple of more months of it and his car seat would be shredded.
He wanted to know if I knew where he could get custom or OEM car seat covers for his Ford Taurus....and maybe seat covers for his Wife's mini-van because the kids were trashing the seats in back.
I explained he had a several options. One, he could try a Dealer. Many of them are now selling car seat covers as an accessory.
The problem with buying at a Dealer is the price - they're usually very expensive - typically about 58% more than anywhere else. So I suggested he take a look the Big Retailers like Napa, or even a Wal Mart.
He said he'd checked both Wal Mart and KMart, but he had yet to find a custom fit seat cover for his Taurus. He said the selections at the the Stores he visited was horrible too.
I told him it was probably best that he hadn't found a seat cover that would fit because he would've paid about 30% more than he should have.
I suggested that if he wanted an easy way to shop for a custom fit, or even a universal fit seat cover, and save any money at all, he had to spend a few minutes shopping online - I told him it's easy and quick if you know where to look.
He said he'd looked online but there was so much garbage out there. In fact, he said there were more than 4 million web sites that claimed to sell car seat covers, and only a couple looked legitimate.
I told him to spend some time shopping at Online Distributors. I told him to write down two names....
Blue Ribbon Motoring and The Warshawsky Company.
I told him if he wanted to save some money, perhaps 30% over what a Retailer would sell for, and almost 58% over what the Dealer wants, then that's where he should spend his time.
Because they both have a huge selection, they offer Free Shipping on almost every Seat Cover they sell and don't charge Sales Tax if you live outside the State they're Headquartered at (California & Illinois respectively). And with the Price Guarantees they offer, you really can't find seat covers for less.
I left Atlanta the next day, but not before that young man e-mailed me to say he'd bought custom seat covers for his car and a set of universal fit seat covers for his Wife's van - and he figured that he saved almost $67.
Why don't you do the same....
Here's the Link to Blue Ribbon Motoring and their entire car seat cover collection - all you need to do is choose whether you want a custom-fit car seat cover or a universal-fit, then enter your make, model and year....and you're on your way.
Here's the Link to The Warshawsky Company and their entire car seat cover collection - all you need to do is choose the car seat cover you're looking for, then the year, make and model - it's that easy.
